Darat al Funun

Darat al Funun's artists-in-residence program, initiated in 1995, creates a stimulating environment for artists from the Arab world and abroad to explore new fields, work, exhibit, and conduct workshops.[1] Housed in historic 1920s buildings in Amman alongside archaeological sites, it supports creative encounters through collaborations like UNESCO-Aschberg and Pro Helvetia, and includes initiatives such as the relaunched Summer Academy for regional artists.[1][2] Residents produce works for exhibitions and utilize spaces like The Lab for experimental projects.[5]
