FREESAM Ltd. is a Prague-based production company that organizes the NU’VEM international artist residency program on Pico Island in the Azores, Portugal, rather than in Praha, Czechia. The one-month residency supports artists from all genres who are at least three years post-art school with two solo exhibitions, enabling them to create works reflecting Czech-Portuguese relations, the Azores environment, or environmental protection, which are left with FREESAM for public presentation. It emphasizes improvisation in a unique natural setting with limited comfort and production facilities.
