About
The Civitella Ranieri Foundation is an international artist residency program located in a 15th-century castle near Umbertide, Italy, hosting visual artists, writers, and composers for fully-funded 4-6 week sessions from May to November each year. Fellows are selected through a competitive nomination and jury process by distinguished professionals, providing private housing, studios, meals, and travel support in a communal environment that fosters independent work and interdisciplinary exchange. Since its founding in 1995, it has welcomed over 1,000 artists from more than 100 countries.
